We had a wonderful morning at the fire station today. We had an early snack and began our walk into Warrenpoint at 9.45am. Our teachers were so impressed at how sensible we all were. When we arrived, the firemen and women read us a story called ‘Francis Firefly’ which taught us that we should never, ever play with matches. Because we were so good, the fire people let us go outside to spray their hose. We even got to sit in a real fire engine too! When our visit was over, we stopped by our local vet, opticians and pharmacy because we have been learning all about those jobs too! What a super day... well done Primary 1.
