This year, a group of children from St Dallan's were asked to come and help 'Wake the Giant' 2023. The children went to some workshops, threw themselves into the festivities and joined the rest of the crew at the front shore and on the main streets of Warrenpoint to make what turned out to be a fantastic occasion for the whole town.
Delighted with themselves, and on return to school where they shared their stories of the weekend, they were taken by surprise when a package arrived addressed to the giants' helpers! It was a beautiful book, written by local man Francie Morgan, with a special thank you to each of them and signed by the author himself! These were presented to the children at whole school assembly on Wednesday 4th October 2023.
So, thank you to all our brave helpers who took the opportunity and went on to receive such a beautiful thank you in the process!! We are very proud of you! 🙂
