THE NSPCC come into St Dallan’s each year with their Speak Out, Stay Safe Programme.  Their work supports that of the school in helping to teach children how to deal with abuse, bullying, online safety issues etc.  The NSPCC is 90% funded by the generosity and support of schools and other organisations who benefit from their work in helping keep children safe and St Dallan’s wanted to acknowledge this work by holding an odd socks and odd shoes day by

‘Being Different to make a Difference!’

The Chairperson of Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, Roisin Mulgrew and other council representatives came along to show their support for Anti-Bullying Week and to launch the Aviva Community Fund Campaign.  This project is being led by the Friends of St Dallan’s Parent Group to help make a positive change to the school community by developing the outside play area to include buddy benches, activity areas etc.

The fundraising event raised £535 for the NSPCC.
