Do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do!

St.Dallan's school choir is composed of our older Key Stage 2 pupils. This year there are 77 members. Choir practice takes place every Friday in the school assembly hall, under the tuition of choir mistress, Miss Rafferty.

Throughout the year the school choir performs at numerous events:

  • the sacraments; First Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation,
  • Mass
  • prayer services
  • carol singing
  • Warrenpoint Feis.
  • St.Patrick's Day celebrations
  • end of year concert

Come along and hear us sing!

At Christmas time, the school choir is invited to sing at the Newry Chamber of Commerce Christmas Charity Lunch in the Canal Court Hotel. We also sing carols at the WBR Chamber of Commerce Yuletide Fair in Warrenpoint Park and the annual parish Carol Service in St. Peter's Church, three joyous events that really get us in the Christmas spirit!

St. Dallan's school choir visits St. Joseph's Nursing Home and the 'Rowans' on an annual basis to sing Christmas carols for the residents. Both the pupils and residents delight in this special occasion.
